One of the most inspiring examples of our educational impact is the story of a young Kayayo (head porter) who dreamed of becoming a nurse.
Spotted selling in the market and balancing work with her ambition, her story touched hearts when Nana Tea amplified it on social media. Her determination struck a chord across the nation.
With Nana Tea’s intervention, Saeed Jibril, Minister of Inner-City and Zongo Development, offered to fund her nursing school education. Today, she is no longer carrying loads for a living, she’s carrying stethoscopes and textbooks as a nursing student in training.
This is more than charity. It’s the repositioning of a life, and it’s what happens when the right help meets the right moment.
